ACOUSTICS & FIRE SAFETY

    ELAM PRODUCTS AND ACOUSTICS

Good acoustics are an important part of any interior. Perforated Elam panels are effective sound-absorbing materials that can dampen certain frequency ranges. By combining smooth and perforated panels, the acoustics can be adjusted for music or speech. The perforated panels absorb sound, and the smooth panels reflect sound.

Elam acoustic panels are available by default with round holes (type P) and long holes ("slits"; type S). We can also make perforations in order to implement individual architectural or design visions.

The genuine wood veneer finish of Elam acoustic panels has excellent reflective properties. Furthermore, genuine wood veneer is a stylish choice that can use all commercial wood species.

    ELAM PRODUCTS AND FIRE SAFETY

All Elam products are designed with fire safety in mind.

The cement chipboard body is made of fire class B building board. Specifically, it is classified as B-s1, d0, meaning that the board contributes very little to a fire (B), produces very little smoke (s1), and has no flammable drips or components (d0).

The chipboard, MDF and plywood bodies are fire class D boards with a specific classification of D-s2, d0. This means their contribution to a fire is acceptable (D), their smoke production is low (s2), and they have no flammable drips or components (d0).
