ACOUSTIC PERFORATION

The right acoustic panels are a must for creating an acoustically functional environment. We manufacture high-quality acoustic panels that combine acoustic and architectural features.

Elam acoustic panels are available by default with round holes (type P) and long holes ("slits"; type S). We can also make perforations to order to implement individual architectural or design visions. Upon request, the panels can be provided with black or white damping felt backing.

By combining smooth and perforated panels, the acoustics can be adjusted for music or speech. The perforated panels absorb sound, and the smooth panels reflect sound. A genuine wood veneer finish has excellent reflective properties. For more information about the sound absorption coefficients of our products, please see our technical brochure.

We offer a wide range of surface treatments for our acoustic panels. Veneer finishes include all commercial wood species. We can also lacquer, stain, wax, oil or paint the surface. Melamine, vinyl and wallpaper coatings are available. The laminated finishes can use any high-pressure laminate from all established manufacturers.

We can also manufacture the building boards according to acoustic requirements. A perforated building board will act as a resonant absorber that will dampen midrange and low frequencies in particular.
